But this dream may well turn into a nightmare if precautions and security are thrown out the window while still applying the old standard of communication. Communication and security are vital aspects in ensuring that these activities happen in an efficient and secure manner.
Networked communication, system software and computer security are foundations of the Department of Computer Systems and Communications. Graduates are armed with knowledge in designing, managing and maintaining communication and security, hence fulfilling needs of organizations.
In teaching and learning, we offer industry-tailored courses to better prepare our graduates for the real world. Apart from technical know-how, we strongly believe that interpersonal skills are important as well. It is not enough to have the power of knowledge, but one must also possess the ability to use it for the good of the people.
Research is another branch in the tree of knowledge which we are pursuing. We are committed in braving the unknown to bring forth the harvest of new knowledge and methods that will benefit all.

Produce excellence IT Professionals and graduates to fulfil the need of IT industry, particularly for the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) and Cyberport
Increase research and consultancy activities which are focussed, relevant and of high quality
Develop specialized programs to promote IT culture in society
